Localising Small-Appliance Packaging for Kazakhstan
The master record contains facts reused across formats: brand, model, product name, rated values, principal functions, accessories, use limitations, manufacturer and responsible-party details, warnings, packing quantity and barcode. Record each field's source and version, with Kazakh and Russian beside the approved source text.

Function names must match operation. A two-speed product cannot become three-speed on the box, and capacity, timer range, cord length or accessory count cannot be copied from a similar model. Translators need product images, controls and the operating sequence, not an isolated vocabulary column.
Limited box space should prioritise information needed for a buying decision. Product image, name, core functions and important values need a clear hierarchy. Both languages need not repeat the same amount in every location if information areas are organised coherently.
Instructions cover assembly, operation, cleaning, troubleshooting and safety. Fan assembly orientation, heater placement, kettle maximum fill and air-cooler filling and draining need diagrams supported by accurate text. Translating promotional lines while neglecting operating steps transfers the cost to after-sales teams.
Language review checks natural expression, spelling and consistent terminology. Technical review checks values, functions, diagrams and operating logic. Translators alone may miss a product image with the wrong accessory; engineers alone may overlook a language defect.
Review again after layout. Line breaks, font substitution, hidden layers and copying can introduce new faults. Confirm Kazakh characters, correct language placement and legible warnings in final files and physical samples.
Every box, manual, plate and label needs an identifiable filename and date. When a value changes, update the master and list all affected formats. Remove obsolete files from shared and production packs, and ensure the packaging supplier receives the signed version.
Before printing, approve one complete set containing product, label, instructions, retail box and master carton. A first-production pack check can then identify print colour, barcode, cutting, obstruction and wrong-version errors.
